Field Finance Officer - Waikabubak (West Sumba)

Save the Children (SCUK) is a leading international NGO working to create a better world for children. We are seeking an experienced national staff member to work as a Field Finance Officer for a primary education project in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) funded by AusAID as part of the Australian Government’s official overseas aid program. The following position is available based in Waikabubak, West Sumba:

FIELD FINANCE OFFICER
(Code: FFO-NTT, 1 post)

The Field Finance Officer reports to the Programme Manager and is responsible for implementing and undertaking financial, accounting and cashiering activities, supporting budgeting activities and supporting the programme in maintaining efficient financial systems/records.


MAIN DUTIES:

Undertake financial, accounting and control activities of field office in order to ensure project activities can run effectively, efficiently and with appropriate confidentiality
To perform budget preparation and budget monitoring to ensure the implementation of the budget is in line with SCUK policies and guidelines
To prepare required financial reports for all related parties both internal and external, in order to ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information
Perform cash, bank and payment activities and support payroll process in order to ensure the activities can support the programme operations effectively, efficiently and properly

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting
Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
Demonstrated strong computer skills and abilities, particularly in spreadsheets and finance systems
Strong attention to detail and able to work with limited supervision
Willingness to work and travel in remote areas
