Responsibilities:
AMEU Database Entry Officer responsibilities include:
A. General
* The Database Entry Officer will be responsible for consolidating
ACTED Database and analyzing data collected by the AME Monitors.
B. Development of Information Collection Mechanisms
. Ensuring regular gathering of data collected by AME Monitors
. Ensuring accurate and timely entry of data into the database
. Ensuring proper filing of data
. Works closely with the Database Manager to enter and cross check
data collected in the field.
C. Data Analysis
* In charge of analyzing data as per demand of AMEU Manager
* In charge of producing reports, properly filed and transferred to
the Resource Center
D. Reporting:
* To work according to the priorities set by the AMEU manager
* Report to the AMEU Manager at frequent and regular intervals on the
progress of data entry and any outstanding inaccuracies and / or
discrepancies.
E. Required personal qualities
AME Database Entry Officer will be appraised on his/her demonstration of the
qualities and competencies listed below as well as from carrying out of
his/her over all duties.
* Diplomacy is required for all interactions. This includes following
the chain of command and never circumventing the program and AME
managers' authority in terms of advising, reporting, and the like.
* Good command of computer, including Excel, Word and Database
software such as Access or FoxPro. In case other software are needed to be
used but unknown to him/her, the Database Entry Officer should have the
capacity to learn them quickly, with the support of the Database Manager
* Honesty, forthrightness, and clear reporting are absolutely
necessary. Understanding the nature of the data entered and its usage are
necessary, as it will allow identifying possible incoherence in the data
collected.
* The Database Entry Officer must be thorough and meticulous, in order
to avoid mistakes in data entry.
* Willingness to learn is imperative. The Database Entry Officer must
be inventive and eager to improve his or her own skills through timely
feedback to the AME manager.
Good organizational and communication skills with international and national
staff.
