Context:
RESPECT is a 5-year USAID-funded project promoting pluralistic
virtues and advocating for social and legal mechanisms to enhance
religious, ethnic, gender and other forms of tolerance and
diversity. The project will be implemented in Java only. Over five
years RESPECT is expected to be conducted in as many as 36
communities in 3 provinces: Central, East and West Java. Each
province will have a provincial office with RESPECT field officers
who will work directly with community-based organizations and
beneficiaries. The Field Coordinator is the link between the Jakarta-
based head offices of CCF and World Learning and the project's field-
based staff. S/he will be responsible for supervising the timely and
accurate execution of RESPECT activities by the field staff. Such
supervision will take place largely in Jakarta, but the Field
Coordinator will also be expected to make regular visit to the
localities where RESPECT is being implemented. Working directly with
RESPECT's Monitoring and Evaluation Expert in Jakarta, the Field
Coordinator will be required assist in supervising the collection of
M&E data from the field and guiding the field staff in maintaining
required M&E standards. Finally, the Field Coordinator may also be
asked to engage in delivering capacity building assistance to
project staff, local partners and other project participants and/or
beneficiaries as appropriate. Being based in Jakarta, the Field
Coordinator participates as a member of the RESPECT senior
management team.


Job Description:
1 . Program Management
- Participate in the planning and direction of the pluralism,
religious diversity and the rights of women and minority groups in
areas of operation through the provincial offices and ensure
activities support the country wide strategy and vision.
- on a daily basis manage provincial field officers who are
implementing pluralism, religious diversity and the rights of women
and minority groups project activities.
- participate in financial oversight of CP grants (tracking of
grants funding, budgets, expenditure etc) and administrative
oversight.
- Maintain high quality standards of CCF & WLID pluralism, religious
diversity and the rights of women and minority groups and ensure
compliance with national and international standards.
- Ensure awareness of pluralism, religious diversity and the rights
of women and minority groups is incorporated into all programming.

2 . Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation
- Provide regular pluralism, religious diversity and the rights of
women and minority groups reports on project progress for the
Country Director-CCF & COP –World Learning, in a timely manner to
ensure submission to donors, HQ and Regional offices, local
government and sector working groups;
- Work with the partners, and the community to develop an effective
system of monitoring and evaluation for pluralism, religious
diversity and the rights of women and minority groups issues within
districts of operation;
- Ensure quality and consistency of programming in all pluralism,
religious diversity and the rights of women and minority groups
activities

3 . Program Development
- participate in designing and pluralism, religious diversity and
the rights of women and minority groups assessments in collaboration
with the RESPECT Project M & E .
- Represent CCF for planning and development of program activities.

4. Staff Management
- Assist in the recruitment of CCF RESPECT program staff for field
offices.
- Supervise and manage CCF RESPECT Project staff.
- Oversee staff knowledge of, agreement to, and compliance with
Child Fund's Child Protection Policies.
- Build capacity of RESPECT project staff on child protection, child
rights, psychosocial support, child participation, youth
empowerment, pluralism, religious diversity and the rights of women
and minority groups and other relevant concepts and skills through
identifying/ developing/ delivering appropriate training, and strong
on the job supervision and mentoring.

5. External and internal communications
- Establish and manage effective external communication process with
official donors including ensuring that donor reports are submitted
in a quality, compliant and timely way.
- Manage the ongoing interaction and program reporting with CCF
Indonesia And World Learning
- Coordinate donor, affiliate and media visits to project sites as
requested.

Preferred Experience:

- Five years as a development professional in planning, monitoring,
evaluating programs and managing technical support.
- Five years experience in a related management position.

Languages:
- Speaks, reads and writes English.
- Speaks, reads and writes Bahasa Indonesia.
Travel Requirements:
- Extensive field travel will be required.
