Caritas Switzerland is a non-governmental organization with sound experience in the field of post disaster reconstruction. For its Aceh Reconstruction Program, Caritas Switzerland is seeking qualified and highly motivated personnel for the following position:
Livelihood Consultant
Tasks
Promote self-help groups (women / men) in order to strengthen the village's development potential.
Define in a participatory approach measures to improve agriculture (crops and livestock) and fishery production.
Establishing counseling system for productivity expansion in order to advise target groups in the field of agribusiness, fishery, and possibly micro credit.
Qualifications
Project-relevant degree, preferably in agriculture, community development and / or many years professional experience.
Experience in participative planning and methods of collecting data as well as sustainable village development approaches.
Willing to start working immediately for a period of 4-6 weeks, and committed to accompany the project on demand visits 3-4 times/year
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Improving income generative to the community through livelihoods skills and environmental awareness.
The contract is for a period of 2 years with possibility of renewal, subject to assessment of performance and availability of resources.
