IT Manager - (DAI AMARTA - DAI CBAIC)

We invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:
Position : Information Technology Manager
Duty Station : Jakarta

General Description:
Responsible for the oversight of the IT needs of all offices under the specific contract, including system installations, maintenance, support and technical consultations to client. Information Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that standards set by the DAI home office are followed and proprietary project solutions are the most efficient and cost effective. Oversees the development of manuals for network and workstation support. Recruits and supervises Network Support Assistant and or relationships with outside System Support Company.

Responsibilities also include the oversight of the LANs (Local Area Networks) at the various project offices. He will ensure that proper back up, anti-virus and disaster recovery procedures are identified and followed and that end users have access to shared files, printers and email. Overall implementation of this program will include any number of field offices.


The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will provide the IT Support Specialist, with guidelines and support for System Administration at every level, as such it is the responsibility of the Information Support Specialist to keep OIT informed of issues and or proposed system modifications.

Essential Responsibilities:
– Local network maintenance and installation (cabling, HUBs and NIC configuration TCP/IP, NAT, TCP/IP printing, windows network and domain services on TCP/IP) ;
– In coordination with IT Manager and Information Officer, maintain and update project websites;
– WAN connectivity and maintenance (Internet connection and services, Leased line, ISDN and dial-up connection and devices configuration and maintenance) ;
– Server and server application maintenance and installation (Hardware integration, Windows 2003 server installation and maintenance, LAN and WAN connectivity, Lotus Domino and messaging system, FTP services, Symantec Antivirus Protection Corporate edition installation and maintenance) ;
– Client computer hardware and application installation and configuration, maintenance (Laptops, Desktops, MS Windows XP, MS Office Pro, Lotus Notes and other mail clients, Symantec AV);
– Develop and prepare IT related training materials and technical support and system documentation for DAI computer users community whenever is required;
– In coordination with Information Officer, to maintain and update project websites
– User support;
– Managing and supervise part time/full time IT Professional staff and/or support provided by local companies;
– Responsible for all above mentioned in Project’s field offices
– Provide assistance in procurement and evaluation of all technical equipment (including phones, copiers....)
– Advise in procurement process;

Deliverables
The IT Support Specialist must work towards the following:
– Help develop a robust Local Area Networks, which may or may not include; email, printing and file sharing capabilities, access to the Internet and remote access capabilities.

Required Services:
– PC & Server support experience, especially with Windows Server & Windows Client operating systems.
– Experience or basic knowledge of Lotus Notes Client Administration, and replication within a WAN.
– Experience maintaining a website.
