Mercy Corps Meulaboh is seeking candidates for the following positions:
Civil Engineer
Position Summary:
Responsible for planning , surveying, preparing design & Estimates and drawing of various civil engineering or water and sanitation project, develop implementation strategy , progress monitoring & reporting , ensuring quality/quantity of construction materials and supervision of infrastructural projects, capacity building of project supervisors , coordination with community / contractor , program teams and other stakeholders ( NGO, Government).
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction Engineering or water and sanitation engineering or relevant engineering with minimum 2 years experience in water and sanitation project or Diploma in civil engineering with 10 year relevant experience in design and construction supervision of Gravity / pump water systems (springs, boreholes, dug wells, rainwater harvesting, water quality, low cost filtration) and sanitation sector preferred.
Should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with community members, contractors and labors. Relevant training in construction technology preferred. Satisfactory level or written & spoken in English and local language preferred. Computer skills in word, Excel and AutoCad are required.
