Project Manager SIDA at Save the Children UK

Save the Children UK is a leading International NGO working to create a
better world for children. Our programme focuses on providing emergency
relief, education, child protection, the impact of conflict on children
and child rights work. Currently Save the Children UK-Indonesia is
seeking highly motivated, dedicated and experienced staff for the
following position to be based in Jakarta :

Project Manager SIDA

(Code : PMSIDA - JKT, 1 post in Jakarta)


The post holder will assist Program Support and Development Manager in
implementing and coordinating the participation of children and civil
society in the Alternative Report of government's performance in
upholding children's rights in relation to the Convention on the Rights
of the Child. Provide follow up and dissemination of participatory
processes and outcomes.

MAIN DUTIES:

* Overall implementation of all aspects of the project
including grant management

* Liaison and coordination with key stakeholders, including the
NGO-Coalition- appointed Coordinator, the Steering Committee, the project
Consultant and Advisers, and the NGO-Coalition

* Oversee the development of assessment tools, training
workshops, focus group discussions, and meaningful and appropriate
children's participation

* Supervise and coordinate the compilation and dissemination of
information, the writing of the Alternative Report and child-friendly
documentation

* Ensure that the tasks assigned to the Consultants and the
Advisers are carried in a timely and appropriate manner according to the
TORs and the Partnership Agreement

* Undertake quarterly project monitoring and facilitate the
final, independent evaluation of the project

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline, especially child
welfare, child protection, social work or equivalent experience

* 3-4 years of proven experience at managerial or advisory
level particularly in the areas of child protection, child
participation, child welfare or child rights work

* Experience in facilitating capacity-building training and
ability to organize workshops, meetings and dialogue with relevant
stakeholders including children.

* Experience in the implementation of community based
initiatives including - child development, social protection, child
protection, child rights, participatory techniques and child rights
programming

* Skills and experience in project monitoring, review and
evaluation

* Proven skills in project planning, implementation,

* Good knowledge of Indonesian socio-cultural traditions and
demography,

* Good knowledge about government structures at a policy and
implementation level

SKILLS AND KNOWLEGED:

* Proven skills in financial and staff management

* Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills in
both Bahasa Indonesia and English

* Excellent writing skills, particularly for reports, both in
Bahasa Indonesia and standard English

* Ability to work with limited supervision

* Computer skills (especially word processing , spreadsheet,
presentation applications)
