Muslim Aid is an international relief and development agency based in London with 21 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for disaster and conflict affected people across the globe. We are currently operating in more than 60 countries. In Indonesia our main programs include Flood mitigation, Shelter and Livelihoods with our Field Office based in Banda Aceh, and further sub-offices in Jogyakarta, Padang and Jakarta

Muslim Aid Indonesia will work as the responsible party for Legal Awareness Raising Campaign (LARC). We intend to provide support to increase the awareness, knowledge on legal rights of Aceh people through using effective communication materials. Muslim Aid-Indonesia Field Office would like to recruit the following positions:

PROGRAM OFFICER – LEGAL SUPPORT
Based in North Aceh/South Aceh

Program Officer will work under the direct supervision Project Manager and will be
responsible for effective implementation of the project on the field. They will
implement the program with the help and support of the Program assistants. The PO will work with the community leaders, Local Government and other NGO partners and monitor the programs. The Officers will have to be skilled enough in internal proposal writing, budget preparation and report writing.

Qualifications and Experiences: Male/Female: Graduate in Law, Substantial experience in Indonesian legal matters; People working as trainer and involved in legal support will be preferred; Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience, preferably local people, Moderate in spoken English; Ability to speak Acehnese (North Aceh) or Jame’ (South Aceh) is an asset

PROGRAM ASSISTANT
Based in North Aceh/South Aceh

Program Assistants (PA) will work under the direct supervision of the Program officers in implementing the project compliant to the implementation plan and
proposal. PA will be responsible for assisting in the effective implementation of the program in the field. The PA will work with the community leaders, Local Government and other NGO partners.

Qualifications and Experiences:
Male/Female; University Degree or diploma in Law or Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences and Social Sciences would be desirable; Minimum 1-2 years experience in program development/ community development (NGO desirable); Good interpersonal and communication skills; Able to work independently and under supervision; Ability to speak Acehnese (North Aceh) or jame’ (Aceh Selatan) is an
asset
