Lowongan Kerja - COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT (1 Position)

Muslim Aid is an international relief and development agency based in London with 21 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for disaster and conflict affected people across the globe. We are currently operating in more than 60 countries. In Indonesia our main programs include Flood mitigation, Shelter and Livelihoods with our Field Office based in Banda Aceh, and further sub-offices in Jakarta, Jogyakarta, and Padang.

Muslim Aid Indonesia will work as the responsible party for Legal Awareness Raising Campaign (LARC). We intend to provide support to increase the awareness, knowledge on legal rights of Aceh people through using effective communication materials. Muslim Aid-Indonesia Field Office would like to recruit:

COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT (1 Position)

Based: Banda Aceh with some field visit as required

Communication Assistant (CA) will work as part of the Legal Awareness Raising Campaign (LARC) team to raise Campaign¢s profile. To provide support for the LARC team as required, most notably in the publications, to provide administrative support
for the LARC team under the direct supervision of Project Manager and will be
responsible for effective implementation of the LARC program on the ground.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Communication Assistant will assume the tasks below under the direction and
guidance of Project Manager/CTA- LARC Project:
v Overseeing and actioning publication updates (including posters, brouchore, radio programs and documentary film);
v Implementing, Monitoring and amending the Campaign program;
v Responsible for answering community queries related the publication, addressing any issues/technical problems and liasing with the LARC team;
v Liasing as first port of call with the radio programmer;
v Responsible for managing all publications product related events as required and assist with photography;
v Researching press related activity such as events, potential campaign media partners and celebrity ideas;
v Managing renewals and payments of all subscriptions for publication activities;
v Supporting Media Officers on campaigns and activities as required i.e
during reviewing materials for sign off;
v Organizing the photo library, press clippings etc.;
v Summarizing and updating information on program and activity carried out a regularly (every 2 weeks);

GENERAL DUTIES:
v Providing administrative support for the Communications team as required, including maintaining up to date systems and filing,
organizing travel arrangement and responding to enquiries as required;
v To service meetings as required including prepare agendas, booking rooms and taking minutes and filing as appropriate;
v Any other reasonable duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
REQUIREMENT:
v University degree or its equivalent in communication, media or related field.
v At least 1 year experience of working in print or publications
v Experience of developing and implementing administrative systems;
v Experience of dealing with the media;
v Experience of understanding the PR requirements for a major campaign;
v Competent in using basic office computer software, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer etc.
v Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is preferably;
v Good proof reading and editing skills;
v Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both part of team and own initiative
v Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to tight deadlines and
adapt to change
