A HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL is being sought to play a pivotal role
in planning, directing and coordinating all facets of Human Resources
activities in accordance with the corporate direction, mission and
growth goals.
Reporting directly to the President Director, the appointee's major
tasks encompass the following:
• Develop and coordinate the implementation of strategic HR
initiatives within the Indonesia organization, covering the areas of:
1. Recruitment and Selection
Ensure that the staffing requirements of the company are adequate and
that the personnel resources support the business strategies and
objectives; Work in synch with the Operations people in identifying
key operational positions to support company's business.
2. Organization/ Talent Development (Training, Performance Management,
Succession Planning)
Equip the employees with the competencies necessary for success in the
company through the interventions of `training need analysis', `skill
assessments' , `education' and other development tools.
3. Compensation and Benefits Administration /Rewards System
Review/analyze current salary structure and job grading ensuring these
are competitive within industry standards as well as provide necessary
recommendations to management based on collated data.
4. Regulatory Compliance
Ensure that the company complies with all statutory/industry rules and
regulations within the shipping industry. Develop and nurture
positive working relations with the government regulation bodies.
5. Personnel and General Services Administration
• Positively inculcate the company's strategic Human Resources
insight as well as incorporate the company's values within the
organization;
Ensure smooth communication between management and staff by instilling
a culture and environment founded on commitment and trust. He/she
should bridge the gap between employees and management as well as be
able to deal with the legal aspect of internal and external manpower
related issues.
Assist the corporate HR Team in HR policy/ procedure implementation
and provide consultation on HR issues.
THE PERSON
Our client has articulated the need for a mature human resources
practitioner (minimum in his/her mid 30's to maximum 40's) with at
least 5-7 years of human resources experience gained IDEALLY in the
SHIPPING INDUSTRY.
Ideally, he/she should possess the following credentials:
A University degree holder with an extensive HR business scope would
be an advantage;
Innovative/ creative, yet analytical with a good ability in
understanding and managing complex situations. Effective problem
solving abilities;
Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal/ people skills. One
who can express ideas and exchanges information clearly and
persuasively. Communicates effectively at all level levels in the
organization;
A change agent who is open to new ideas and encourages others to
value change – Ability to recognize the potential benefits of change
and create an infrastructure that would support change;
Can invigorate the team through his/ her charismatic leadership
abilities;
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and willing to roll-up his /her
sleeves to get things done; and
Possesses the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
