Mercy Corps: Financial Access Program Advisor

Mercy Corps is an international NGO implementing programs in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Mercy Corps is a non-profit organization that is currently recruiting for positions in the MEULABOH office. Successful candidates will meet the education and experience requirements for each position description and will have a strong knowledge of spoken English and knowledge of the Reconstruction efforts and regulations in Aceh Province and local languages.

Financial Access Program Advisor

Qualifications include: A minimum D3 in business, management, economics or finance. Experience of working in Banks, microfinance institutions, or private businesses is essential. Experience of business planning and analysis is essential. Demonstrated ability to analyse microfinance institutions, assess needs and training skills is required. Must be able to work with target oriented. Must be able to work independently and show initiative. must be proficient in report writing , filing, organizational skills and computer skills ( MS Office ), experience of working with NGO is preferred, good spoken and written English is preferred, willingness to travel throughout the project areas in Aceh is in important, flexibility and willingness to work in rapidly changing conditions is necessary.

Responsibilities include: Identify potential business client, complete business plans with the clients, work with clients and banks to sign loan agreements, monitor clients and alert senior FINAP Advisor to any loan delinquency risk, Communicate constructively with Banks on participating in the program and on reorienting their approach to businesses, Assess potential NGO , corporate or individual partners, Conduct monitoring and evaluation of program implementation and maintain data collection, coordinate Mercy Corps program with other local actors in finance , particularly commercial Banks, government departments, and other local NGOs.participate in business mapping and other market survey technique, Etc.
